Sold for: $695.00
Original period manufacture. A near complete example of the standard Japanese Army helmet of WWII. Original paint, rivets, star and liner. Overall the helmet displays a very dark surface, presenting a mix of paint and steel patina, with a matching finish to the star. Original brown leather liner, with olive green canvas pad pockets, the front pad showing the date of Showa 12, 1936. The chinstrap is missing. At the time of our purchase this Japanese pattern net was placed over the shell. Really difficult to say with any certainty if it is real or not, so safest thing to do is to simply state that is a new one and be happy.
