Original period manufacture. Blue steel finished helmet with about 40% of its original mud-brown paint surface remaining on the exterior. Fairly intact all leather liner with a year stamp of Showa 18 (1943) on the reverse of the front pad cover. The original star is missing but we will supply one of our replicas for display. The other two helmet rivets are original to the helmet. Interesting field made replacement chinstrap which certainly looks to be of the period. Sound,Vet brought back helmet showing its age and use.
