Original era manufacture. Rough texture wool, in a dark olive-green color, with a yellow wool star on the front. Sound, green painted imitationchinstrap, secured with two brass side buttons. On the left rear edge of the hat, are three hand stitched kanji characters, with additional loops for the removable neck flap.Brown leather sweatband with inkstamped kanji on the underside.The hat is unlined, may never havehad one.Very clean overall, no moth issues or staining, just light age and wear.
