Original period manufacture. A very clean example of a typical WWII era Japanese Army company grade officers dress sword.The chrome steel blade measures 27 inches in length, running straight and true, with minimal age and wear, very clean overall. Gilded brass guard, with a black plastic wrapped grip which is bound with triple strand wire. Silver family MON on the backstrapChrome finished steel scabbard which is dent-free, with most of its original finish intact, missing the throat screw.
