Original era manufacture. 27 inch polished steel blade with a fairly clear temper line. The blade shows evidence of scratching and an old cleaning attempt along the lower third of its blade length. There are no nicks in its cutting edge and the tip remains sharp. Tight cloth binding to the standard hilt, cast brass tsuba with fire gilding in its recesses. All metal scabbard with a dark olive paint finish, missing its lower scabbard fitting on the tip.
