Original era manufacture. This very nice quality, private purchase Army Officers field cap, is of formed wool felt, in the early mustard color. It is quite sound but is missing the sweatband, and possibly the lining material, if it ever had one.Original brass star at front, on a pentagon shaped backing of the same material of the hat. Intact original cloth chinstrap, again of the same material as the hat. Original paper tag on the interior, displays quite well.
