Original era manufacture. WWII Japanese Army officers sword, as brought home in 1945 by an officer who served with the US 6th Division in the Philippines.  The machine made blade measures 25 inches in length, it is clean, in original polish with some scattered spots of light staining along its length. When the handle is removed original Kanji markings are visible. The dowel pin is missing. Complete grip and guard with original brown cloth wrapping, decorative pommel loop with an original company grade officer sword knot looped through.Dent free steel scabbard with a dark olive painted finish with original fittings in fine condition.
