Original era manufacture. A very sound and complete example of the WWII Japanese Army steel helmet. Recently purchased from the family of the GI who brought it home from WWII. PFC Leon Kaslow who served in the Philippines during the war. The helmet displays a dark greenish-brown paint finish, has it's original star in place and has a complete pigskin lining and full length chinstrap. It is dated Showa 16 (1942) behind the front pad, all rivets are in place. Only damage beyond normal age and wear to note is that the stitching at the rear of the liner band is missing.
