Original era manufacture. This is a great looking old helmet with lots of character, the original star is in place, complete liner with adjusting string and a partial chinstrap which looks to have been cut-away from the wearer. Inside the front edge of the helmet are three handpainted yellow kanji. The reverse of the front liner pad is inkstamped and dated Showa 14 (1939). The exterior of the helmet retains its original paint with wear from service use on the crown. Small smudge of white garage paint on the top. Honest helmet which has never been altered or improved upon.
