Original era manufacture. A precision instrument finished in Japanese Army brown paint with a detachable wind vane. Locking wooden case with a canvas carrying satchel with rubberized canvas straps. As air passes through the central turbine the blades turn and registers windspeed on the dial. Seems to work just fine. This was tripod mounted but no tripod is included.
