Original era manufacture. An interesting example of a WWII Civil Defense helmet made quite similar to a Type 30 military helmet. Same dark brown color and general outline, but with a pronounced ridge in the crown. Inside is a woven paper liner and two handpainted kanji. The liner is basically sound but has pulled away from one of the suspension rivets.
