Original era manufacture. Bright finished blade, with a hooked guard, contoured wood grips and bird head pommel. Even steel patina finish to the blade,guard and pommel, no nicks in the cutting edge. Kokura arsenal marked on the obverse ricasso. Blue finished steel scabbard with some heavy denting along its surface, blade still draws easily. Oil finished dark brown leather frog, with an intact securing strap and steel buckle.  Serial numbered on the blade tang, indicating early production, among the first 221,000 type 30 bayonets produced by Kokura.
