Original era manufacture. A large format painted wood frame with an elaborate metal decoration at front, with a cut-out covered in glass for the soldier, or sailor's photograph. At the very top is the Imperial Chrysanthemum of 16 petals. Frame measures roughly 8.5x11.5 inches, light age and wear.
