Original era manufacture. Black lacquer finished brass oiler with a red inkstamped kanji character on the top. Wear to the edges of the oiler body as shown, measures 72 x 45 x 45 mm.I believe this was contained withing the storage box for the IJN Light AAA optics, perhaps a 20mm or 40mm gun.
