Original era manufacture. An interesting adaptation of a WWII Japanese Type 30 bayonet, made into a fighting knife by an American GI. The blade was shortened to an 8.5 inch length, and the grip modified  by the removal of the original, and replacing it with one of wood, having aircraft aluminum grip panels installed. The right side panel has sprung on one end, dark steel patina to the blade and guard.
