An interesting lot of eight pieces of WWII currency, each having a GI's name on them, most giving details of the area in which they were obtained.Four pieces of Japanese currency named to M.H. Bain S1c, two marked to Iwo Jima, one to the Philippines, and the other his name only.Single Japanese banknote marked on the reverse to M.W. Hartman, Col. USAAF.Single Japanese Philippine occupation Peso, marked to Bonifacio M. Manala, Capt. CE, Philippine Army.US, French five franc note, marked England, France, Belgium, Holland, Germany.US, Japanese Ten Sen note, marked Leon R. Wells.All of the notes shows age and wear, with one having a taped repair.
