Original era manufacture. We've had a few of these intricate handheld sirens over the years, this example is one of the best. Most of the original olive brown paint finish remains intact. The handles are not chipped or cracked, and the folding crank handle works properly with even the original leather hand loop being in place.The siren mechanism works well, and is quite loud when cranked up to full RPM. Perhaps the best feature is the tan canvas belt pouch which came with the siren. First one of those I have ever seen.There is some minor paint loss and a small screw appears to be missing from the rim of the wire mesh sound opening, but that's about it.
