Original period manufacture. This great little item was purchased at our recent Tempe Militaria show. It stands just under 24 inches in height and is of very high quality production. Roughly 5x8 inch printed silk Navy pattern Rising Sun flag attached to a tiny linen thread halyard. Nickel finished three blade propellor base which unscrews from the pole. Perhaps used on an officers desk for display. Never seen one before.
