Original era manufacture. One of our favorite pieces of Imperial Japanese headgear are the blue wool caps worn by the IJN. This is an issue example with a typical black cotton lining. The dark blue wool body is in sound condition with no mothing but the wire form that keeps the top rigid pokes through the edging a bit in the back. The hat is complete with an original IJN cap tally of dark yellow embroidery on black. A white cotton cover is included. The elastic chinstrap is missing and the issue tag was removed, perhaps by the original owner for privacy's sake.
