Original era manufacture. Similar in design to the common Army pattern wool hat, but instead in a dark blue wool, with black rabbit fur trim. On the lower edge are two blue cotton cloth tapes to be used as a chinstrap. The lining is of white cotton with a typical Navy pattern issue tag, machine sewn to the fabric. On the front of the hat is a stamped aluminum Navy emblem which is stitched to the body of the hat.Light wear to the edges of the fur,  otherwise the hat appears unissued.
