Original era manufacture. All cotton construction, white on one side, red on the other with a short bill, and an inkstamped Navy anchor on the white side. Shows wear and use, but no damage.As I understand, these hats were worn during swimming instruction, with the red side indicating a beginner, the visor I believe indicates a man of NCO rank.
