Original era manufacture. Dramatic dark steel patina finished helmet with several shrapnel, or bullet strikes in the lower right front of the helmet. Additionally the top has rusted through in several places, and a previous owner felt the need to install a replica NLF helmet device and replica chinstrap, both easily removed. The helmet is basically sound with a good ring to the steel in spite of the age. Sorry, no idea where it was recovered from.
