Original period manufacture. Straight guard, fuller-less blade, non-contoured wooden grips and a square shaped pommel. The blade displays an original matt finish to the steel, with original edge sharpening and point. Matching finish to the guard and pommel, original finish wooden grips, one side darker than the other, normal service use.Natural finish wooden scabbard made in two sections, bound with two bands of twine. Steel scabbard throat and tip. There is a thin diagonal crack coming up from the top of the scabbard tip, and passing under the lower twine band. The scabbard is not loose, nor are there pieces of wood missing; just a normal occurrence it seems with these wood scabbards. Scarce late war bayonet made by Jinsen Arsenal in Korea. Thanks James for pointing out my initial goof in identifying this bayonet as Mukden...d'oh
