Original period manufacture. Straight guard, fuller-less blade, contoured wood grips and a square pommel.Overall a very clean example with most of its original bluefinish remaining on the blade,no issues. Mix of blue and steel patina finish to theguard and pommel. Originalfinish wood grips, displaying very minorlight marring and denting from service use.Olive brown painted wooden scabbard made in two pieces, and bound with two bands of painted twine. Blue finished steel throat and scabbard tip. No cracks or chips in the wooden body. The extra plus is the original pigskin frog in sound condition; this is the correct example for this pattern scabbard, being of a wider manufacture.
