Original era manufacture. Stainless steel, navy anchor proofed on the tang, 26 inch blade in basically good repair. There are a few very shallow nicks in the cutting edge, and some light scratching to the blade surface. Beyond that the blade is bright and clean. Original wrapped handle, pommel cap is loose (needs a cloth tassle loop to keep it in position), simple black iron tsuba. Most of the black lacquered wooden scabbard remains except for the bottom four inches or so, it's a bit tight, so while it may be the correct pattern scabbard, it may have been made for another sword.
