Original period manufacture. A typical late war example featuring bright steel finished blade made without fullers, straight guard, square type pommel and contoured wooden grips. The blade is clean for one of these, factory edge, with an even steel patina finish, which matches the guard and pommel, rounded point. Faint Toyada markings on the ricasso. Original finish wooden grips, displaying typical service marring and denting and minor surface loss. The lock button works as it should.Original paint wood surface on the two-piece wooden scabbard, bound with two bands of twine, blue finished steel scabbard throat, most of the original paint is intact. Clean bayonet.
