Original era manufacture. This is the first example of this pattern telephone we have ever encountered and exhibits a number of late war qualities. The case is made entirely of wood, with a dark olive green paint finish, inside is a black composition handset with original cord. There are separate side compartments for the crank, an adjusting tool, and grounding stake.Overall the telephone displays little evidence of wear, or use, just a few bumps to the paint surface, no cracks in the wooden case.I can't seem to get the lid to close properly, I believe it is due to the two cork blocks inside the lid which are not working with keeping the handset from moving.
