Original era manufacture. A difficult to find bayonet frog, as it was intended for use with the larger diameter, late war wooden bayonet scabbard. Made of rubberized  material which has stiffened from age, however a bayonet will still fit inside the frog portion. The leather securing strap is weak, near torn through at the center adjusting hole.
