Original era manufacture. Rubberized canvas frog which has stiffened from age, however the scabbard opening remains wide enough to insert the late-war pattern wooden scabbard. Cracking to the fabric surface, black painted securing buckle with only a small portion of the strap remains. Still quite sound for display, scarce late-war Japanese frog.
