Original era manufacture. Thick, rectangular shaped, straight guard, square pommel with a blue finished blade without fullers. The olive painted wooden scabbard is made in two halves and bound with twine in two places. Most of the paint finish remains intact, metal chape and scabbard throat have a very minimal amount of surface corrosion. Contoured wood grips are secured with rivets rather than screws, with a nice blue finish to the pommel and blade. A very clean example with an unusual guard.
