Original era manufacture. This is a very interesting modified variation of the Type 91 Japanese grenade, which was intended to be either thrown by hand, or launched via a rifle grenade launcher or Knee Mortar.Gloss black painted cast iron body, with a white painted base with the threaded base drilled out, and small welds placed on the upper and lower edges of the grenade body to prevent it from fitting inside a Knee Mortar tube.The brass safety cap is present but the double prong pin is not.No Explosives, US sales only.
