Original era manufacture. A Shanghai pattern green cotton cap with one machine sewn black rank stripe around the body of the hat.  On the front of the hat is a yellow cotton embroidered Petty Officer insignia with the cherry blossom in the center of the anchor.Navy issue stamp on the inside of the hat. It is in near new condition, likely never issued.
