Original era manufacture. Black leather pouch which displays an aluminum chrysanthemum and gold anchor insignia on the body. Snap closure flap, with an elaborate knotted attaching string. Inside are a number of printed paper prayer and other votive items. Over the years we have owned several Japanese Army examples, this is the first Navy one we have seen.
