Original era manufacture. Standard pattern Imperial Japanese Navy officer sword with a 26 inch chromed steel blade. The blade is clean, no corrosion issues, fairly straight, with a very slight bend in the steel about 10 inches from the tip.Brass toned, decorative guard which folds on one side; fishskin wrapped grip bound with double strand twisted wire.The black leather bodied scabbard is sound, stitching tight, with a crease in the body exactly where the slight bend in the blade occurs. Decorative brass gilded brass mounts with two suspension rings.
