Original era manufacture. Standard pattern Imperial Japanese Navy officer sword with a 26 inch chromed steel blade. The blade is clean, no corrosion issues, runs straight and true with no nicks in the cutting edge. Brass toned, decorative guard which folds on one side; fishskin wrapped grip bound with triple strand twisted wire.The black leather bodied scabbard is sound, stitching tight, with surface dryness and minor flaking, but no breaks. Decorative brass gilded brass mounts with two suspension rings.
