Original era manufacture. A printed cotton flag measuring 13 x 19 inches, with two leather reinforced corners.Handwritten kanji, to include the Hinomaru-"Banzai". There is an English translation taped to the body of the flag, it reads; "Imperial Japanese Navy Pacific Fleet, Heavy Cruiser Nagato. July 22nd 1943, First Officer Takahashi Kenji, in celebration of your promotion".Clean, light age and wear.
