Original era manufacture. A bright blade, with no fullers, straight guard with a flattened section on each side and a flat birdhead pommel.No arsenal markings on the blade, with a false upper edge at the point. The metal is clean, no finish remaining with no corrosion issues. Non-contour wooden grips with normal age and wear. No serial number on the pommel.Black painted steel scabbard with no corrosion issues, typical denting along its length. Normally these will be found in the rubberized canvas scabbards with an attached frog.
