Original era manufacture. Really not quite sure what to call this, so I guess we'll settle on a tobacco canister.A darkened alloy cylinder, measuring 98 mm in height, and 68 mm across. Affixed to one panel is a silver colored alloy IJN anchor with cherry blossom. A nice little decorative piece, normal age and wear, no damage.
