Original era manufacture. One of my all-time favorite military relics, are these large brass anchor & chrysanthemum emblems, which were placed on the front of a variety of vehicles used by the Imperial Japanese Navy. It measures 8.5 inches in height with a mounting bracket on the reverse. I have seen these in period photographs mounted on everything from automobiles to tanks. Dark brass patina finish.
