Original era manufacture. Medal which commemorates the battles between the Imperial Japanese Army and Red Army in Manchuria in 1939. The battles resulted in a decisive defeat for Imperial Japan and marked the rising star of the Red Army commander Georgy Zhukov. This example appears to have been mounted in a display at one point as a bit of old glue residue can be seen on the reverse of the ribbon. Obverse of the ribbon lightly faded.
