Original period manufacture. Hand forged 20 inch blade with kanji characters on its tang. The blade surface is fairly clean with a visible temper line, however there is some scattered staining and clouding with a fair amount of nicks in the cutting edge and tip. Ornate pierced iron tsuba with a small amount of gold decoration. Really nice old gripmenuki with gold decoration as well as the pommel cap. Original cloth wrapping to the grip. Leather field covering over the original wooden scabbard.
