Original era manufacture. A very clean 27 inch polished steel blade with clear temper marks on each side of the cutting edge. No nicksin the cutting edge, the point is quite sharp and there are no corrosion issues.Ornate caste brass tsuba, original cloth wrapping on the grip with two ordinary brass menuki set into the lacing. Brown painted, brass pommel cap with brass loop.Simple wooden scabbard with aglossy brown painted finish with scattered areas of paint loss along both sides of the scabbard edge.We have removed thesecuring peg to allow for the removal of the grip. The tang displays a dark steel patina, single mountinghole and is unsigned.
