Original era manufacture. A folding paper fan with wood supports and end pieces. One side depicts troops in a tropical setting, perhaps the Philippine campaign, the other side the red Hinomaru on a white backing. Fully opened it measures 11 inches across, when closed it is 7 inches in length. Light wear and use.
