Original era manufacture. Introduced around the time of America's entry into WWII are these rubber soled combat boots which were quite inovative for the time. They reduce the amount of leather needed for a pair of combat shoes relying on natural rubber soles as a substitute. A resource readily available to the Japanese after their conquests in Asia and the Pacific. This pair is complete with a decent pair of original laces and are marked size 11 on the ankles. The rubber soles are sound showing typical wear and age. Much less common to find than the standard hobnailed variety.
