Original period manufacture. An early style bayonet, with a rounded bird head pommel, hooked guard, bright finished blade, and very pronounced "pot belly" contoured wood grips.Well worn old black overpaint to the blue steel scabbard, which happily is near dent free. Scattered staining to the blade finish, with a small nick in the tip.
