Original era manufacture. This is an interesting flag, Army pattern, of a rayed design with a central disc, printed on a thin wool material. The flag measures 40 x 28 inches with tie strings in two corners covered in blue silk.When the flag is laid flat, with the reinforced corners on the right, several interesting inkstamps can be seen on the lower right hand corner. These consist of a small Naval anchor and characters within an oval, what appears to be a date of 18.10.2, and a wonderful, large size rendition of the Torpedo Marksmanship badge 1st Class.Perhaps a prize from a Navy Torpedo School, I don't know, I have never seen a similar example. The flag is free of holes or stains, and all of the stampings appear to have been done in the same ink.
