Original era manufacture. A great looking signed silk flag measuring 26x40 inches with tie strings in two corners. The writing consists of many names of the soldier's family and friends, with the standard phrase, "Praying for eternal success in war", the soldier's name is Kawai Yukio. The temple stamp in the upper right corner, is from the Mizobata Shrine in Gifu Prefecture. A shrine famous for warding off plague during the Edo period. The flag is very clean, no holes or tears, and displays very nicely.
