Original era manufacture. Similar in design to a Japanese Navy officers dress sword, but with the addition of two triangular designs on each side of the grip. The chrome finished blade measures 25.5 inches in length, is bright and clean with a false temper line. Gilded brass guard, backstrap and pommel, with a portion of the guard folding down and locking into the throat of the scabbard. Dark Ray skin grip bound with triple strand wire.Fish skin covered scabbard body with a varnished or lacquered finish, and gilded brass fittings. A very clean example, the blade is rather sharp for one of these. From a local estate.
