Original era manufacture. A bright blade, training pattern bayonet, with fullers on each side of the blade. Hooked guard, birdhead pommel with contoured wood grips.Original finish grips with a large 27 stamped into the right side grip plate, the number 27 can also be seen on the left side of the pommel.Mix of blue finish, and steel patina finish to the pommel and guard. Again, blue and steel patina finish to the scabbard, with scattered denting along its length.An interesting example of the often over looked Japanese training bayonet.
