Original period manufacture. A straight guard bayonet manufactured in the Manchurian Mukden Arsenal for the Imperial Army.Blue finished blade without fullers, straight guard, rounded bird-head pommel, contoured wood grips and an all steel scabbard.The blade is clean, showing a nice blue finish, on the obverse, a Mukden arsenal marking can be seen. Mix of blue finish and steel patina on the straight guard and pommel, original finish wood grips showing typical dings and dents from service use.Dent free steel scabbard showing a mix of steel patina and bluing, with scattered patches of surface corrosion. The original leather frog is sound and pliable, but the securing strap is broken.
